Social Events

We plan at least three social events:

Α) Welcome Party with with traditional Greek Food (Greek Souvlaki, Gyros, Cheese Pies, Greek Salad and wine) (July 3, 2023)
Β) Conference Dinner (July 6, 2023): We are pleased to inform you that the conference dinner will be free for all participants and only the accompanying people will pay 20 Euro per person.
C) Excursion (July 5, 2023) Excursion: We are happy to inform you that the excursion will be free (without ticket cost) for the participants and accompanying people.

Departure at 7:30 am in front of the hotel Flisvos at Nafpaktos
Visit of Gates of Hades in the springs of Acheron and the village Glyki next to the Gates of Hades.

Visit of Holy City of Messolonghi and guided tour of the Garden of Heroes (Heroes of the Greek Revolution of 1821)

Messolonghi is a municipality in western Greece and the capital of Aetolia-Acarnania regional unit. The town is located between the Achelous and the Evinos rivers and has a port on the Gulf of Patras. It trades in fish, wine, and tobacco. The Arakynthos mountains lie to the northeast. When the Greek War of Independence broke out in spring 1821, Messolonghi was the first place in western Greece to join the uprising. Since Messolonghi is known as the site of a dramatic siege during the Greek War of Independence (1821) and had an important role for Greek Independence the city was named "Holy City of Missolonghi".

The Municipality of "Holy City of Messolonghi", in honor of the conference, will host a dinner at the city of Messolonghi.

After dinner we will return to the city of Nafpaktos.
